Website privacy policy

The short version

This site has no contact form, no login, no newsletter signup, and no shopping cart. We do not ask you for your name, your email address, or any health information in order to read it. There is nothing for us to sell, and we do not sell or rent information about visitors to anyone.

What is collected automatically

Like nearly every website, the server that delivers these pages records basic technical information each time a page is requested: your IP address, the browser and operating system you are using, the page you asked for, and the time you asked for it. This is standard web server logging, used to keep the site running and secure.

Third-party content on this site

Two features load content from other companies, and those companies can see that your browser requested something from them. This happens automatically when the page loads, before you click anything.

• Videos on our videos page are hosted by Wistia. Wistia may set cookies and record viewing activity under its own privacy policy.
• The map on our contact page is embedded from Google Maps. Google may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy.

We do not control what these companies collect and we receive no personally identifiable information back from them. If you prefer to avoid them, most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, and the videos and map are the only pages where they appear.

Analytics and advertising

At the time of this writing, this site runs no analytics package, no advertising pixels, and no visitor-tracking tools. If that changes, this page will be updated to say so before the tools are added.

Email and telephone

If you email or call the office, we keep what you send us in order to respond to you. Email is not a secure way to send medical information. Please use it for general questions only, and share your medical history at your appointment or through the patient portal, where it can be handled properly.

The patient portal

The practice uses athenahealth for medical records, appointments, and telehealth visits. If you use the patient portal or attend a video appointment, that activity happens on athenahealth's systems and is covered by their agreement with the practice as a HIPAA business associate, together with our Notice of Privacy Practices — not by this website policy.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another organization, that site has its own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
